Hello all

Sorry i have not checked in , in what seems like weeks , suffered a broken ankle and now my cast is off ! So I can finnally get back to working out , I have to admit I could have did upper body workouts but kinda let it slide . Since my cast has been off 3 days now I have been walking everyday and eating even healthier . Just went to the local produce shop and purchased tons of fresh fruit and veggies . Thanks all of you that posted booster notes , you are all awesome !

Getting Around

Well today was my 5th day in the cast and it is getting easier to get around , it is still sore so I have not been able to excercise yet but I give it another week and I can start my uppper body workouts , and lift weights for my arms . Although carrying this cast around is a workout on its own ! I go to New york Sunday to see the Final show of camelot . That should be interesting in itself . On the other hand I am sticking to my diet and eating alot better and really watching since my workouts are curtailed . We are supposed to eat at Bubba Gump shrimp tho’ and that is gonna be tricky !! Any suggestions ???

Today is a new Day

Well I am so excited to have found this site to be able to share my journey with others that are traveling the same road is awesome , since I broke my ankle 4 days ago I was feeling very defeated thinking I would have to be sedentary and then begin eating and return to my old habits , but thanks to this site and my higher power inside I know now that even though i may have suffered an injury , my spirit and drive to lose this excess weight is still alive and kicking and if I need to do upper body excersises and crunches , floor excercises I CAN do this ! Thanks to everyone for being there !!

Help

Well , Second time posting a blog on this site but from surfing around it , I really really like it , what an awesome motivational tool , anyway , here is my problem , I recently broke my ankle in fact the permanent cast was placed on yesterday and will be on for the next 6 weeks . I need some help  with excersises that I can do in the interm of the 6 weeks that I cant walk much - I do have a walking boot on but I cant use my treadmill , stepper , or even take the dogs for a walk until this comes off - Any good ideas I would be extremely gratful

Hello !

Hi all , my name is sue and I am so glad to have found this site , I started on this diet about 6 1/2 mos ago and to date have lost 62 lbs but I have quite a ways to go . My ideal goal is 140 lbs and I would like to make that before the year is out . Which means I have  109 lbs to go ! Sounds like a monumental amount considering where I started and how much I have lost already. When I first started the diet back in June I was working out 30 min everyday and watching everything I ate , well I still watch what I eat however not as well and the workouts have virtually stopped . The funny thing is I am still losing though because my caloric intake is so low - ranging from 800 to 1000 calories a day.

I need to get motivated again like I was in the beginning and would love to hear from anyone and everyone that has any tips or maybe even find a workout buddy in my area . I recently suffered a broken ankle and have to be in a cast for the next 6 weeks and that really scares me which is why i need to kick this diet into high gear like it was in the forst 6 months . I know there are workouts I can do that dont involve a treadmill or stepper for now which I have both . Any help would be appreciated !
